What is Soulann?

The term “soulaan“ is another term for African American peoples that specifically refers to the soul as an integral part of our culture (evidenced by soul food, soul music, etc).

Who is Soulann?

Anyone considering themselves to be a multigenerational African American (whether a descendant of enslaved peoples or someone whose Black immigrant family has been in the States for 3+ generations), might choose to refer to themselves as Soulaan.

What is the purpose of this organization?

The goal of Soulaan Students Association is to create a protected space for African American culture and expression to thrive at Wellesley, Olin, and Babson. We plan on reaching our goals via hosting cultural and educational events, mixers, seminars, and more.
